Control Your Home Devices

info
About the Project

IoT Smart Home is a comprehensive home automation app that puts control of all your smart devices in your pocket. With an intuitive interface built on the Atlassian Design System, users can manage lighting, temperature, security, and more from a single dashboard. The app communicates with IoT devices via MQTT protocol for real-time, low-latency control and maintains a local database for offline functionality and quick access.

The Solution

Built with Flutter using BLoC for state management and Clean Architecture for scalability. MQTT protocol enables efficient real-time communication with IoT devices over lightweight pub/sub messaging. SqLite provides local data persistence, allowing the app to work offline and cache device states. The Atlassian Design System ensures a professional, consistent UI across all screens.

Key Challenges

  • check_circleImplementing real-time device communication via MQTT with proper connection handling and reconnection logic.
  • check_circleManaging complex state across multiple device types with BLoC pattern.
  • check_circleSyncing local SqLite cache with remote device states and handling offline scenarios gracefully.
  • check_circleEnsuring responsive UI while handling rapid device updates from MQTT broker.
